About #NotInMyCity

#NotInMyCity is a facilitative organization, launched in 2017 and championed by Paul Brandt, that works to prevent, disrupt, and end human trafficking and sexual exploitation—especially of children in Canada. We build alliances across grassroots, practice, policy, and legislative levels to raise awareness, advance preventative strategies, and mobilize communities for collective action. Because trafficking thrives in secrecy, our mission is to shine a light on this crime, equip people to recognize the signs, and inspire action that creates transformational and lasting change.

Known for our iconic yellow rose, designed by Paul Hardy, we unite allies under a shared symbol of solidarity with survivors and a public statement that freedom should include everybody. At #NotInMyCity, we believe that governments, front-line workers, families, and individuals all have a role to play. Together, we’re committed to finding and filling the gaps, amplifying hope, and building a safer future where exploitation has no place—not here, not anywhere.
